Recovery of Skip Hoist Control

Based on long-lasting experience in the metallurgical industry and especially in the control systems of blast furnaces, the company AUTEL submitted a bid related to implementation of the project “Recovery of Power Supply and Control System of the Skip Hoist at the Blast Furnace No. 2”, in ArcelorMittal Ostrava, Inc. The bid has been prepared on the basis of determination of the existing condition and requirements of a customer in regards of future operation.

These are the engineering activities, design, programming related to replacement of the original exchangers for those of ABB DCS800-A02-1500-5, as well as replacement of the existing power and control boxes of the skip winch, including the controlling system ABB AC800M. The bid also includes delivery of necessary sensors, cabling and installation works.

The bid of AUTEL has been evaluated as the best and the company was invited to sign the contract.

The price of the contract is approximately 8 million CZK; implementation will be carried out in the first half of 2017.
