AUTEL modernises Barrandov substations

AUTEL won the tender to modernize the 22 kV sub-stations PC1 and PC2 on the site of Barrandov Studio, a.s.

The technical equipment’s service life of the high-voltage part of sub-stations PC1 and PC2 has ended and any accident would result in a long-term supply failure of the whole site and threaten the activities of two television stations TV NOVA, TV Barrandov, MAX studio and Barrandov film studio in the site.

The solution will be based on Siemens switchboard 8DJH secondary technology with 5 terminal stations and a Sicam control system according to the technical – economic evaluation of the offered solutions and the final choice of the client. The commencement of the project will be the preparation, consulted with and approved by PRE-Distribuce, this will be followed by the 1st stage of the work this year and the 2nd stage next year.  The work will be demanding because of the correctness, selecting the shutdown, handling high-voltage cables and the hybrid couplings of changing high-voltage cables with oil insulation to high-voltage cables with XLPE insulation.

The price of the project is approximately 21 million CZK.
