Model of heating of continuous billets in a walking beam furnace
The company Celsa „Huta Ostrowiec” Sp. z o.o. announced a tender “Development and presentation of an innovative technology for heating billets in walking beam furnaces in order to increase the energy efficiency of the technological process”. The project is subsidized by the operational program “Intelligent Development 2014 – 2020”.
The scope of the project is the development and implementation of an intelligent system for controlling the heating process (mathematical model) of continuous billets in a walking beam furnace in real time for a fine rolling mill (W1) and a medium rolling mill (W2)
The company AUTEL, a.s. has previously participated in projects for the deployment of furnace heating models in metallurgical companies in the Czech Republic and abroad. The experience gained was used in the preparation of the offer and negotiations with the customer, which in the end led to the acquisition of the project. The development of the model will take place in cooperation with Polish academics.
The contracted price of the project is PLN 2 million (approx. EUR 450 thousand) and the project will be completed within 9 months of signing the contract.
