AUTEL is delivering solution for switchover of TŽ, a.s. Tube Mill to 22 kV grid

AUTEL won the “Třinecké Železárny, a.s. Tube Mill Switchover to 22 kV voltage level” project and within its scope, the company supplies and provides delivery and connection of 2 new ETRA 22/5.25 kV 10MVA oil-filled transformers with overload capacity rated at 12.5MVA. The Tube Mill is currently connected to the 5.25 kV grid, which is reaching the end of its lifetime period. The new 22/5.25 kV transformation will ensure power supply for this important production plant for many years to come.

This project is interesting from the technical point of view due to the complexity of the network parameters assessment, their assembly into the new system of protection and voltage regulators, and reactive energy compensation.

New ETRA transformers will be supplied by electric power from the new Siemens 8DJH switchgear with the Siprotec 5 protection.

The contract price is CZK 23 million. Project completion is expected in December 2019.
