110 kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) for Třinecké železárny

Based on the experience of AUTEL in the design of the encapsulated 110 kV GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) and following successful implementation and commissioning in BorsodChem MCHZ, AUTEL have prepared for ENERGETIKA TŘINEC (ET) the implementation documentation for 110 kV switchgear T4 in the GIS 8DN8 version. This is manufactured by Siemens with Siprotec 5 series terminal protection in relation to the ELVAC RTU control system for IEC61850 communication.

In the subsequent tender with huge competition from various major companies, then following rigorous technical and trade negotiations, the Supervisory Board of Třinecké železárny showed their confidence in the AUTEL solution team by awarding the tender to AUTEL.

Winning the tender completed almost two years of preparation for this important project.

The project will be implemented in stages up to June 2019. The first stage will be comprised of the construction of the new switchgear while the second stage will be comprised of the installation of new 110kV switchgear with 15 very high voltage fields. These will gradually take over the ČEZ and Tauron supply lines for the Czech and Polish system, and the 40MVA 110/22/6kV transformers for the supply and operation of LDS ET, as the primary and key supply node for the operation of Třinecké železárby, a.s. In each case, these must be supplied reliably and without any failures during the reconstruction. This task for the solution team will require great responsibility and provides the challenge to deliver precise and failure-free work.

The price of the contract is 171 Million CZK.
